Bet

Third Grade Age Children

Classes meet three times per week - Tuesday and Thursday 4:15-6:15 and on Shabbat (Saturday) mornings from 9:30 AM -12:00 noon.

The Aleph Bet reading and script are expanded upon and a real sense of achievement is felt! While prayers are taught from the beginning of the term, actual Siddur reading begins mid-year after the Siddur presentation at Consecration. Bible heroes and their messages to us are introduced through text, discussion, and art forms. Bet students continue to learn about the holidays throughout the Jewish year and ethics will be introduced with the text, "The Ten Commandments". The Library and Music programs are used to enhance the curriculum.

Classes on Shabbat morning include Junior Congregation for the lower grades. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend Junior Congregation with their children. Join your children in the Religious School lobby for Juice and Cookies at 10:45 AM followed by Junior Congregation from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon.
